Our vape detectors rely on power and internet access through Power over Ethernet (PoE). Most schools are already equipped with PoE for use with security cameras. If you are not equipped, all it takes is a PoE injector and Ethernet cabling.

Yes. Your sensors will be preconfigured to the cloud platform prior to delivery so they are ready to work straight away. This is a complimentary service.

A license is needed per detector to cover the cloud platform, apps, warranty and support. These are available over 1, 3 and 5 years .

Absolutely not. We take privacy very seriously and our detectors never records or transmits audio. Instead, keywords and aggression are detected through our Machine Learning algorithm that is actively listening similar to your phone when you say “Hey Siri”

Notifications are sent to anyone you designate. You can choose who receives messages from each detector, and each device can send alerts to multiple people (e.g., nearby teacher(s), site team and reception).

Our detectors work with the cloud to send an SMS text message and email alert of vaping, noise anomalies, and tampering. Users will be able to set up the email and phone number of whoever they want to receive the alerts (most often it is a teacher close to the bathroom and/or a school administrator). The alert will indicate the location where vaping is sensed.

The amount of detectors needed depends on the style of cubicles you have as well as the layout of the cubicles. Open Cubicles: The cubicle has an open space at the top or bottom for ventilation. Due to open ventilation, 1 detector will cover an area of 6-8 cubicles (dependent on layout). Floor-to-Ceiling Cubicles: The cubical doors and walls reach from floor to ceiling, creating an enclosed space. In almost all cases these style cubicles will need one detector per cubicle. (Numbers vary depending on the layout of cubicles.)

Our detectors use an array of sensors to notify administrators of multiple events. The vape sensor can accurately gauge the likelihood and severity of vaping. When this level reaches a threshold, an alert is automatically sent to the relevant staff, SLT, Site Team, and anyone else you may designate.

Our detectors connect directly to the network via a data cable, powered by POE. You may not need it, but just in case, we offer installation on all vape detector orders.

Yes, we provide a warranty against all factory defects in our hardware for up to 3 years, and is renewed year on year as you pay the annual software and support fee. An extended warranty is available at an additional cost.
