DIGITAL ALERT SOFTWARE – OVERVIEW
The Digital Alerts (DA) solution is an award-winning communications interface, developed in the United States and in use worldwide, to deliver immediate alerts in the event of a Lockdown or other activities.
Key applications are:
- full or partial lockdown – all users alerted
- alert staff to rude visitors via panic shortcuts/buttons
- scheduled messages to remind them to turn off devices to save energy.
- and anything else that comes to mind
Using the software, you can:
- TRIGGER alerts via PC, Mac, iOS/Android app, email, desktop shortcut, USB button or break-glass
- DELIVER the alert to users via
– Desktop – full or part screen pop up alerts for up to laptops/whiteboards/computers/projectors
– Tablet/Mobile – push alerts sent to mobile user devices
– Email – send alerts to the email accounts of all users
– Bespoke audio notification via Schoolwatch IP Speakers if installed

A key feature of Schoolwatch Digital Alerts is the ability to interface with existing systems to improve alert delivery, efficiency and save money.
Example integrations are:
- a working PA system can deliver alerts in conjunction with the IP speakers
- some access control systems include a Lockdown function
- gates, sounders, emergency lighting
The software ‘talks’ to the external devices/systems by using Web Relays in two ways:
- to deliver commands when an alert is triggered
- to receive commands from for example a Fire Alarm Panel, to trigger alerts

The POE (Power over Ethernet) web relay connects the Digital Alerts software to external devices such as the a PA system, Audio Gateway, access control or Panic/Alert buttons.
